I find flowers of this type, looking like a starburst, very tempting to photograph. Here I think you've done very well as it's not confusing to look at. I think this is the stigma, with petals in the background.
Smartphones do this so well, good sharpness despite macro magnification and f2. I presume the 13mm focal length is a full-frame equivalent? Do you think it did a focus stack? A weakness of phones at the moment, in my view, is that they don't make it clear what has gone on inside the phone.   Posted: 10/08/2025 09:18:42

Very nice image. Like the angle you took it at and the colors and sharpness are quite nice!   Posted: 10/09/2025 01:21:19
An unusual angle makes for a dynamic shot of the coneflower.
The only thing slightly irritating me, and that's probably not a major issue, is the loss of the tip of the left side centre petal! Love the colours and the softening top and bottom!   Posted: 10/09/2025 14:55:35

nice shot. I like how you focused on the center and minimal petals.some of the shadows on the right are less attractive. it gives you a chance to even play around and work with left/brighter side - half of the center and a little more petals on left with brighter light is a different pose.   Posted: 10/11/2025 20:50:24
Nicely captured! I love the crop you gave it. The center of the flower is so clear and lit very naturally; it would be very helpful if you could share more info about your capture details (lighting, was it handheld, any special lens added, etc.). I also would like to know about the kind of orange cast on the left lower corner? Is that the flower? It almost feels like something was encroaching slightly on the phone lens.   Posted: 10/17/2025 04:45:00
