I spent the end of last month in Washington State looking for Eagles and Puffins. I was more successful with Eagles than Puffins. Spent a morning watching adults and Juveniles fishing and preening. This was my very first Eagle in Flight! It was a great day with my daughter who lives in the area and while not a photographer, loved watching all the interactions.

Post Processing..decreasing lighting overall, denoise and isolating the subjects with a mask, lightening the dark feathers, adding texture, clarity and sharpening.

Eagles are addicting. Remind me to send you a map of eagle nests in Florida. And if you ever get to Joe Overstreet Landing Road off 441 about an hour or so south of Orlando. Check that FB page too. And check out Conowingo Dam Eagles page on FB. I try to get there once a year when I am up north.

Very nice, Sherry. I would echo the others' comments. My only suggestion would be to crop it a little more tightly. Would be nice to see the eagle's eyes more closely. Also maybe crop from the bottom--a bit too much blue sky down there. Posted: 07/17/2026 20:13:51
