t was shot off a tripod. 1/8s and F11, ISO31, Nikon Z7_2 and Sigma Art 24-70 F2.8, shot at 70mm
It is a picture looking north at the black mountains. I just crossed that mountain range. The time of day was not ideal (10H20), the cloud cover helped a bit and the dramatic clouds made the image for me. Mono conversion was done in Silver FX Pro

I am enthralled with B & W photos as I think they require a greater level of artistic awareness, and this photo strongly reinforces my opinion. I really like it! The layering of the clouds and hills work well for me and having the farm house in the center, with the two trees on the side pointing up into the image I think is great. In my opinion the tonal contrast with the various elements really make this image standout. (This sets an image for me to bring my skills up to). Posted: 07/20/2026 14:22:21
