About the Image(s)
This image was captured during this year's PSA Photo Festival in Portland, Oregon. This waterfall had been on my bucket list for years, and I finally had the opportunity to visit it in September and check it off. It was taken with a Lumix G9ii and a Leica 12??“60 mm lens, then processed in Lightroom and Photo AI.
Thank you very much!

Curious what your setting were for this one? Specifically, your shutter speed? When I'm doing a long exposure, I always think about what is the correct speed, is it too fast or slow?
I like your composition and think you were successful getting it off your bucket list!
It might be my screen, but it feels a bit dark and the WB looks off a tiny bit and think it might benefit opening up the shadows a bit, I think it would help with the different shades green and the water is pretty close to black. Hope you don't mind, but here's my interpretation of your image. I warmed it up a bit, opened up the shadow and added a few radial filters to the water, bridge and small reflection of the waterfall at the bottom. Interested to hear your thoughts!   Posted: 10/10/2025 22:33:01

Probably the most photographed waterfall in Oregon, but it always looks spectacular! Great job, since you had to do a long exposure to get the waterfall motion, did you use an ND filter? If so, which one?   Posted: 10/11/2025 02:38:48

I too was at the PSA Festival. What day did you go to the Falls. I was there with the Festival on Monday.
I agree with Dawn it does look a little dark. I would try and bring up the shadows. Bob asked if you used an ND filter? I did it was a CPL ND2 because the sky when we were there was gray.

I think you've done a good job on capturing the falls. I go by there a couple times a year on my way to visit my daughter in Boise but I've never been there when I could find an open space to park any where near the falls so I could get out and take a photo.
Because of the height of the falls it is difficult to compose a good shot so I like that you concentrated on the lower portion of the falls. I think you did a good job of positioning the bridge which, for me, helps to create an interest point.
I agree with the others in that I think your exposure is a bit too dark.   Posted: 10/24/2025 17:47:34
