About the Image(s)

I was trying to add some unique framing for the forest area overlooking the Buffalo National River. Unfortunately the river was very low and looks more like mud in the lower left of the frame. The goal was to use the rock and tree to frame the forest given a feeling of looking out from the trees above.

Just adjusted light, colors and used the dehaze a bit to bring back the clouds from the photo.

This was an experiment and hoping to see what others liked or didn’t like about the attempt.

Brian, staging a shot from a high point has a lot of compositional advantages; however, it can also increase the complexity of an image by creating multiple focal points. Cropping might help, if you agree. In the original, the sky is overexposed. You did a lot in post processing to recover it, but it is still a bit washed.   Posted: 10/21/2025 00:18:17

Brian: You chose a good subject, but a difficult one. Your forground tree is sharp, but the sky is washed out and your background colors seem soft.   Posted: 10/21/2025 14:27:12
