About the Image(s)
On a recent trip to Asia, I had to travel to Japan to behold the still active volcanic mountain, Mt Fuji. Like
many mountains its size (12,300 ft), often the peak can’t be seen behind a thick bank of clouds. We
were lucky. The snow-covered summit was easy to see. I did not do much to render the final image.
First, I started by reducing noise, adjusted saturation and contrasts, cropped, then finally, increased the
whites in the sky and the peak. Camera numbers: Nikon Z7ii, 1/1000, 60mm, f/16, ISO=320.

Charles,
I love this photo! My luck is never good and the peak would have been obscured...
I don't see anything I would have done differently. it is a very peaceful photo and the eye moves quickly to the peak with the added contrast from the snow. Amazing!   Posted: 10/19/2025 19:18:12

Bravo, Charles. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and your camera skills were spot on. I might suggest that your water and the foreground be lightened just a bit.
