Grape Harvest by Jack Florence Jr

October 2025 - Grape Harvest

About the Image(s)

From this year's grape harvest, what I liked about this one is the way the iPhone preserved the blue sky; in the past images taken into the sun could be too bright / white sky.

I enjoy your vineyard images - such a picturesque setting! Agree that this image captures a nice sky above (and low hanging clouds (or haze) in the valley). I like the grapes being thrown into the container - and also the concentration on the other person's face as he inspects the fruit. The parallel vines appearing to converge at infinity create a nice sense of depth. A good reminder that the wine we take for granted - requires a lot of manual labor to harvest/produce.   Posted: 10/05/2025 16:29:41

Jack, this image is another of your good vineyard images.
The fruit, the people's attention to their work; then the eyes are drawn to the beautiful sky with the clouds.   Posted: 10/14/2025 15:04:55

Hi Jack,
Very nice shot of the grape harvest! The composition is well done with the 2 converging lines that create the illusion of depth and lead the viewer's eyes to the further distance. The hills and the blue sky make the scene more beautiful. The 2 persons in the foreground are very attentive to their works. What I like the most is that you were able to capture one worker's movement while he tried to empty his bucket of grapes into a large container. I don't have any suggestion for improvement. Great shot!
Does your farm allow visitors at the grape harvest time?   Posted: 10/22/2025 18:00:34
