About the Image(s)
This is an image of one of the many colorful canyons about 20 miles east of Tuba City, AZ. The light was very harsh -- mid to late afternoon -- and I decided to try a BnW conversion (via Nik Silver Effects Pro). I cropped in a little from the upper left to make the butte on the right more prominent. I set the levels, darkened the exposure, and added contrast and Nik Structure.
I was up about 300 ft from my launch point, ISO 200. No clouds in the sky, so I aimed down and omitted it.
I had an odd software malfunction that I have never seen before or since. Although AEB was set for 5 bracketed exposures, all five images were the same (relatively bright) exposure (i.e., same shutter speed). Go figure.
