About the Image(s)

While relaxing on a brightly lit deck near midday, this August, I was attracted by the interplay of shadow and light coming through the porch slats.
While that was my focus, as I finalized the composition for presentation, I was intrigued by the possible crops and would appreciate your thoughts regarding the following:
Chair in or crop chair out; table leg in or table leg out?

Specs: EOS R5 camera, RF 100-400 mm f 5.6-8.0 IS USM lens,
1/600, f/7.1, ISO 400. Monotone conversion was done RAW with Adobe monochrome.
