About the Image(s)

It was a day of heavy rain.
On the way home, everyone was rushing to get back, caught up in the downpour.
I didn't have an umbrella, so I took shelter under the eaves for a while and that's when I captured this shot.
Only a black-and-white conversion and curve adjustments were applied.
Specs: Galaxy S25 Ultra | ISO 400 | F/2.4 | 1/30s | Edited in Lightroom

Much better in BW. I like the puddles that the rain makes, shows action and the shadow is wonderful. The 1/30 shutter speed shows just enough motion to make this picture a keeper.   Posted: 07/10/2026 20:44:09

Very well done, with your excellent eye.
Have you studied photography history? You may be interested in Henri Cartier-Bresson, who coined the term and wrote the book called, "The Decisive Moment," as translated from French into English.   Posted: 07/12/2026 02:00:08

I love this photo! It was meant to be a black & white photo. You can feel how cold and wet life is for the person in the photo. Very nice work! Aren't you glad you didn't have a umbrella.....   Posted: 07/15/2026 20:18:09

Very strong street photo. Well done. I love the white horizontal lines they define the composition. Q: what is the subject? the person or the rain ?
