This was taken in Vermont last week, and I got a kick out of it. I have no idea why the one cow decided to lick the other one's face, but the recipient was not pleased about it..... It was taken on the only camera that I had with me - my phone. Hopefully there is some merit to it. Thanks.

Love the expressions on both of the cows and how it is licking. Sometimes we have to use a phone to capture spur-of-the-moment moments like this. I can see why you got a kick out of it.

Laurie, I love the whimsy in this shot. To focus more attention on that licking action, I applied a black and white filter with a crop and a cyanotype edge. The filter also removed a lot of the noise. Do you like this version? Posted: 10/20/2025 03:32:55

Laurie, here is another option that retains selective color. I used masking to allow the color on the cows, but left the distracting background in black and white. I also applied an oil painting filter to get rid of the noise and decreased the yellow color cast on the cows with "replace color" in PS. I let the cows' ears pop outside of the edging to bring more attention to them. Thanks for letting me have fun with your photo! Posted: 10/21/2025 02:12:36
