About the Image(s)

I found this double head hellebore, a nature’s mystery. Hand held with Canon 90D, 100mm macro lens. 1/125 sec, f8, ISO 1250. After basic adjustments, I removed the background and experimented to make the background pale and as well as tone down the colours of the flower. Was aiming for a painterly look.

Very interesting. It is very "painterly" as it looks like you sketched it. Good job!   Posted: 10/05/2025 04:14:23

A fantastic image and edit Nadia. A beautiful unique flower and a custom background that works so very well. Can't find anything that should be improved.

Hi Nadia. I love this presentation the painterly treatment you have created. I also love your decision to make this a high key image. My only suggestion would be to darken the purple edge on the upper left petals slightly, just to give a little more separation from the background. Congratulations on an outstanding image!   Posted: 10/19/2025 19:01:44

You definitely got your painterly look. Never seen a hellebore quite that color, it's beautiful. I always love what you do with backgrounds, this one is no exception. Well done.   Posted: 10/21/2025 00:21:40

Another fabulous presentation. For me, the flower blends too much with the background. What do you think of this, with the background lighter and the flower a bit more contrast & whites & I think texture?   Posted: 10/24/2025 01:05:54
