On our October west trip I mentioned last month, we stopped at Arches National Park for a day. I'd been a couple of times, but my husband, Steve, had not been and I wanted him to see it.
I submitted a pic with my husband in it. Of course, I can remove him easily, but I think it adds a little interest.
Not really any editing changes, it was early morning and the Navajo Sandstone was on fire.
Any suggestions?

Great color in this image - those arches really pop! Like the crop removing the person on the left in the original. The only thing I might suggest is to brighten the clouds a bit as they got lost in the blue sky. But that's just being picky as it's a great photo.
Arches is one of my favorite parks as there is such diversity there - arches, desert landscape, animals & birds, fierce clouds on stormy days, weddings, mini-slot canyon, etc.   Posted: 11/01/2026 15:55:57

Thanks, I think emphasizing the clouds a bit could be a good idea. Yep, its a great place. I'm doing a week-long Milky Way workshop in June there.   Posted: 11/01/2026 20:30:45
It is a beautifully captured image, and having your husband in it is a plus to show the scale of the rock.   Posted: 11/01/2026 17:11:34
Thanks, Jean. That's why I left Steve in, as I thought it added scale and a bit of the excitement of the place. Glad you liked my cell phone image.   Posted: 11/01/2026 20:31:56
