About the Image(s)

At our Kelby Summit on April 11, 2026, they hired a retired NFL fullback to pose for us. He did a lot of poses with a football, helmet, etc, but I thought I'd share some "playtime". The second pic is the image I shot at the event.

My first and third images were typing some instructions into Gemini 3.2 in Photoshop. I thought the "painting" turned out very well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Jean! Both the water color and Original 2 were playing with AI after giving them a suggested image to use a similar theme. It was very fun, but of course, I can compete with either, as I used AI.   Posted: 07/03/2026 23:36:53

If you are not concerned with competition, you could have fun using both of your originals and original 2 for many interesting composite images.   Posted: 07/05/2026 16:17:11

It is amazing what can be done with large language models. Are we seeing the final days of the use of cameras?   Posted: 07/06/2026 20:45:16

Actually, the Watercolor effect has been in Photoshop for 20 years. And when I started in photography in 2010, I had a couple of cheap apps that created this look on my images.

I think serious cameras are going to be around for a long time. I predict they will get better faster to keep up with AI competition. You can see it in Lightroom, Photoshop, ON1 and many other software companies. Adobe does serious updates monthly now, instead of annually or quarterly. It takes a lot to stay up with all the cool updates!   Posted: 07/21/2026 00:50:11

Very nice! I keep telling myself that I am going to try some of these artistic filters. I have some friends that are so into this sort of creative activity that this is about all they ever do.   Posted: 07/12/2026 14:43:24
