About the Image(s)

The morning sun rises over Waupaca County, Wisconsin, casting a warm glow on an old farmhouse and barn tucked away in a quiet stretch north of Iola. It’s autumn, and the trees surrounding the homestead burst with color ??” burgundy reds, deep oranges, and bright yellows that seem almost too vibrant to belong to this world. The farmhouse stands weathered yet dignified, its angular roofline contrasting sharply against the gentle curves of the trees, while the corn crib’s simple rectangular form grounds the scene. The contrasts here are more than shapes or colors; they seem to echo life’s dualities ??” the enduring and fleeting, the rugged and the delicate. This was a five-shot pano. Tech stuff: ISO 100, f/11, 1/60 sec., +0.3 exposure bias, 200mm focal length.

Trey, Lovely capture of fall color. Including contrasting structures makes the story.   Posted: 10/11/2025 20:38:51

A great pano Trey. Well seen, well captured, well processed and well presented. Strong use of autumn colours combined with a rural location. Very well done indeed.   Posted: 10/13/2025 04:51:20

Love the colors. Maybe too much foreground grass?   Posted: 10/23/2025 13:33:48

I am surprised that you could pull those colours out of the original, which looks a bit dull, despite being take in sunshine. It's good that you have three structures in the picture - the central lattice stops us from bouncing from one building to the other. I do find myself wondering if there is more colour in the trees higher up - it is quite a wide narrow panorama. Did you take horizontal or vertical shots - the original suggests horizontal.   Posted: 10/26/2025 18:03:40
