Hi Gaetan: Somehow you missed the focus on the Desert Rose as the flower is not at all sharp.
If you are doing focus stacking the camera must be mounted on a sturdy tripod to avoid any possible camera movement. Then shut off the auto focus and focus manually on the flower. In my experience the auto focus does not always focus exactly where I would want it to. I strictly use manual focus on this type of flower photography. You will also have better success using an f stop such as f/8 or f/11. Just my thoughts !!   Posted: 10/06/2025 17:01:03

Hi Gaetan, composition is lovely and the flower is super interesting and appealing. Looks like the aperture size didnt quite catch the whole flower, around f8 or 9 should typically do it since you had a decent amount of light. I also wonder if the autofocus was a little sensitive. I have to rely on AF myself, more than I would like since my eyesight is not great. To stop the autofocus being overly sensitive, I switch off AF and only use it when fast moving things that i want a lock on. It took a lot of confidence for me to start switching off AF. I started by reducing AF sensitivity, which helped wean me off.Stacking also helps me when my eyes arent quite playing ball! not sure if that helps any -Ali   Posted: 10/09/2025 23:47:57

The idea of composition is lovely (position of petals, water drops), but I think there is some problem for the realization. Lack of sharpness.
The background is also too present.   Posted: 10/23/2025 12:06:56
