About the Image(s)

This photograph was taken on the travertine terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs in the north-west corner of Yellowstone Natl Park. A favorite spot in the park. It was photographed with a Canon 90D, shot at ISO-200, 1/400 sec, f-11. The lens was a Canon 24-105mm L f-4, zoomed to 80mm (128mm full frame equivalent). The sky was bright and very contrasty. The RAW image was tweaked with heavy highlight and shadow control, a bit of contrast added, significant texture enhancement, some clarity, and a tweak of dehaze. The color balance was shifted to Adobe's default "daylight" (a.k.a. 5500K, +10 tint).
