Beyond the Camera ??” The Creative Journey Continues
I enjoy both photography tours and regular sightseeing tours. On photography tours, we are often at the right place at the right time, with ideal lighting. On ordinary tours, however, we simply photograph whatever conditions we encounter. My recent Iceland trip was one such experience. These two images show my original RAW capture and my interpretation through post-processing.
For me, this is where another creative challenge begins. How can I transform an ordinary capture into something closer to what I envisioned? This curiosity led me to explore post-processing more seriously and discover that photography doesn't end when we put our cameras away. Some photographers prefer minimal editing, while others embrace the creative freedom of the digital darkroom. I'd love to hear your thoughts: Where do you draw the line between enhancement and creative interpretation? And has post-processing changed the way you see and photograph the world?
