July 2026 - Red Truck on the Beach

This is an image I took on a beach near my home in SW Florida. I was drawn to it because of the simplicity and the colors of the bright red pick-up contrasted with a white sand beach under a light blue sky and dark blue water, framed by the silhouettes of a couple of leaning trees in the foreground. I used a Canon Rebel T2 camera, 18-270mm lens, 70mm focus, 1/200th sec, F/8, ISO 100, hand-held. This is not the normal type of landscape we discuss, but I'd love to get your feedback and suggestions.

Hi Kirk, You can never go wrong with a red white and blue scene. It's really captivating. I looked at it a long time trying to figure out if the truck buried their back wheels and might be stuck. Nice job telling the story! I really like how the soft clouds compliment the slightly out of focus truck. As a suggestion, you might try softening the sand. Posted: 07/20/2026 13:15:38
