About the Image(s)
Subject is a Burchell's Starling taken in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe.
Equipment: Canon R5 200-800 @ 800mm f9.0 ISO 500 1/125 sec
The picture was cropped and I used selective masking to bring out the iridescence in its feathers. Finally, I ran it through Topaz Photo Ai for denoising and sharpening.
Sorry for the delay

Welcome back to our group, Jas.
Once again your color palette is spot on. Although the brown feathers compliment the browns in the background, there is still enough separation for the starling to stand out. I also love the placement in the frame.   Posted: 07/17/2026 16:01:42

This is a beautifully dramatic photo. I really love it well done. I have no notes to offer as I think the photo is perfect as is.   Posted: 07/17/2026 17:29:57
Jaswant,
I almost missed your photo this month. Starling are such common birds it is easy to overlook the lovely iridescence you captured in this photo.   Posted: 07/20/2026 16:57:13
