About the Image(s)

Just about every October, my wife and I head over to the town of Leavenworth in the Cascade mountains of Washington State. Leavenworth itself is a popular destination because of its Bavarian themed buildings and shops. The drive over has some of the state's nicest fall color most years, though it was a bit more muted in this unusually dry year. After many photos and a good lunch with fellow members of our camera club we made our way a bit further east to apple country where there are many fruit stands. This particular one was all decked out with fall decor and many pumpkins. While my wife went in search of deals on Cosmic Crisp apples, I wandered around looking at the displays. This one struck my fancy and called for my IR camera (yes, I always have my IR camera even when on a color trip). I love the way the bright orange pumpkins glow in ghostly white.
