About the Image(s)
Ischua Creek is a tributary to the mighty Allegany River. In the native Seneca language, it means “wild water.” Indeed, during the Spring thaw, it becomes a dangerous waterway. This photograph was taken last summer when the Creek was much tamer. To render the final image, I used Nik Efex Pro to transform it to monotone black & white, and tweak contrasts and extract details. Then, I used the Dodge tool to accent highlights. Camera stats: Nikon D7000 (590nm), f/14, 1/200, 30mm, ISO=100
