About the Image(s)
With the flower blooming season coming to an end I discovered this interesting seed pod. I learned this is from a flower commonly known as a Chocolate Daisy (Berlandiera Lyrata) because it smells like chocolate when it's in bloom.
Taken handheld in natural daylight with my 100mm macro lens, ISO 400, f8, 1/200 sec.
In Lightroom Classic I cropped and darkened the background to hide all of the distractions. Then I increased the interesting texture and increased saturation to bring out the subtle colors.

Beautiful! I love this image with all its fine details. You made the right decision to darken the background, but not make it completely black. If I were to make any suggestions, it might be to remove that outline of a petal at the top of the flower. I know it is natural, but for me it creates a distraction from the details in the seed pod.   Posted: 11/02/2026 12:13:37
