About the Image(s)

Canon 6D with Canon 70-200 f4 @ 163mm 1/4000sec f5.6 ISO 400

Opened as RAW image with no adjustments. Image is full frame with no cropping. Imported to PS. Essentially two curves adjustment layers created; one for shadows the other for highlights. Converted to mono by creating a new fill adjustment layer and selecting SOLID COLOR (black) and COLOR blending mode on 100% opacity following which both curves were adjusted to give optimum contrast. This was all done in under two minutes.
