About the Image(s)
This is another image from our trip to Chicago in May. We were walking and came upon this fountain (with no water). The only camera I had with me was my Google phone. I can't find much information about this location - only that it may be located at the Maryia Starykovich & Daniel Herrera Circle and that is supposed to be a fountain but has not had water for a while.
I converted it to b/w and cropped.

What a great image Dean. I especially like the black and white. It brings out the lines and texture without the distracting color.   Posted: 07/06/2026 14:39:32
I like this shot better in black and white. The color version is distracting, taking my eyes directly to the red wall. Great job.   Posted: 07/06/2026 17:24:52

Dean, nicely done. The shot has a lot of detail in the buildings which I like. Looking closer, I see the reflection of the buildings in the fountain...an additional plus. I like it in B&W. So what will you title it?   Posted: 07/18/2026 01:38:57
I rarely think about a title for a photo unless it is required.   Posted: 07/18/2026 01:54:54

This is a great city landscape Dean. I like that you converted the image to black and white. It gives more focus to the geometric shapes in the scene. I like the way you framed the image as well, with the empty fountain in the foreground.   Posted: 07/18/2026 14:53:11
