Spent the weekend in Annapolis recently and we were waiting to be seated at a restaurant. They had discarded oyster shells along the parking lot. I took a few shots. I like the monochromatic feel of it. Maybe I need to increase the contrast a little? Does it feel flat?

Kia ora Jessica. When I first looked at the image, I was searching for a focal point, something to draw my eye. When I came back to it a second time, I realised I find the monochromatic feel to be interesting in itself. With less colour variation, I can explore the interesting patterns and contrasts. I like the interesting shape on the shell second from the left. It is also lighter, so stands out a little from the other shells. Posted: 10/23/2025 03:24:52
