About the Image(s)
We just returned from our trip through NC, GA and TN to see the Great Smoky Mountains and drive a bit of the Blue Ridge Parkway (which is closed mostly above Asheville, so we altered our plans. Our hunt was to get the smoky look (failed) and take waterfall pictures to get that silky look. We did a bunch of hikes and did both iPhone and camera shots, but I love that Long Exposure option on Live Photos on the phone and thought to try it. So this is the iPhone shot of one waterfall and hopefully next month I'll have the camera shot of it. Did some edits on phone and then in PS so sharpen, darken, vignetted and helped the colors a bit after cropping it.

The water fall is an excellent shot. I was so surprised that it was taken with an iPhone. What model iPhone was the image taken on?
I just got back from a driving trip to Maine and I used my iPhone model 14 and could not get such great results. I plan to take course on the use of an iPhone.
We need to get up to Ashville as soon as we finish with all the repairs and updates to the house here in Greensboro.   Posted: 07/16/2026 15:08:16
You have to take the photo as LIVE. It doesn't work in any other mode (it has to say LIVE when you take the pic). Then after shooting, tap the work LIVE and several options come up for Loop, Bounce, and Long Exposure. Touch Long Exposure and it develops it. You can take it into LR or PS or other editing and do lots with it (and even stack in PS with the original to combine them). So many are now shooting with just phones, but I still love my camera for most shots.   Posted: 07/19/2026 14:06:31
