About the Image(s)
Last month I also tried getting close with my IPhone 14 and this time, while it's the same equipment, I think, a better shot. Look at the Original to see how much cropping was done but that the image holds up very well. I think Apple's software must be improving all the time since I don't think a crop like this could have worked 2-3 years ago.

Sol, Your skills do amaze me. This close up with an iPhone 14 is amazing. I am thinking about getting the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Your iPhone 14 does an incredible sharp shot. Makes me wonder if I really need to spend that much money. Jerry   Posted: 10/06/2025 21:44:46
I am going for the 17 Pro. It has an 8x optical zoom compared with 3x on my 14.   Posted: 10/10/2025 22:13:53
Another wow shot. It is amazing how sharp this is given what portion of the whole capture it is. As usual you inspire us to push some limits.   Posted: 10/07/2025 21:53:19
That really is a significant crop. The image still looks sharp and without noise, too. The side view of the bee adds interest since the viewer can see more of what's happening. The flower vs bee colors are a good contrast. Nice capture. The only whine is that the bee's wings are out of focus, but the software made that decision for you.

I didn't notice the wings. I think i could have done better there.   Posted: 10/10/2025 22:12:09
It's interesting that details of bee and flower are much more detailed in the very close crop. Really good demonstration.   Posted: 10/13/2025 23:36:21
Incredible sharpness with that extreme crop. I didn't even notice the wings until it was mentioned. The sharpness of the flower and the bee's body grabbed my attention. Very nice. I'm still using an iPhone 12 mini but considering moving up to the 16 this fall. Will have to explore the difference in price and features between the 16 and 17 pro.   Posted: 10/18/2025 01:10:20
