About the Image(s)
I had read that driving the Beartooth Highway in Montana was one of the most beautiful roads in America. I decided I needed to do it while I still could so off Poppy and I went on 8 September. This is looking across the mountains and the valley from where we started our climb to the 10,947 foot Beartooth Pass. You can see the road in the valley and the switch backs as we climbed higher and higher. Just did “auto” editing in the iPhone photo app.

What an incredible drive I see in the image as you pointed out. Wow! Not for bad drivers. Thanks for sharing.   Posted: 10/06/2025 21:41:30
Good thing you went then. I think the road closed for snow a few days ago.I like your foreground inclusions which give extra depth.

Those trees in front on the left add a sense of depth. The diagonal line of the road works well. Must have been a beautiful drive.   Posted: 10/11/2025 11:21:57
Compelling photograph made more interesting by knowledge that you and your dog traveled the road especially when navigating what looks like treacherous switchback curves. Luckily there don't seem to be many other cars on the road. Good composition capturing the formidable majesty of Beartooth Mountains. Interesting name.   Posted: 10/13/2025 23:44:07
