About the Image(s)
I shot this quite a few years ago with an old Nikon (D70) and 105 mm Macro lens when I was experimenting with tabletop photography and non-natural lighting.
On a tripod, f/14, ISO 200. I wasn’t crazy about the hues in the colour image so thought I would try converting it to monochrome in LR and PS.

Nice still life Lorna. You really captured the grain in the flower....great contrast giving it texture. I'm wondering what is underneath...vase or whatever ??   Posted: 10/15/2025 11:24:22
Hi Ger, I honestly can't remember. I assume it was in some kind of vase but my intention was to present it as a more abstract image.   Posted: 10/16/2025 03:20:18
Lorna, Beautiful Image, but I'm conflicted; the green and brown tones of the original image are beautiful, I can't decide which I preferer.
Have you tried boosting the reds in the background, a more complementary color blend?

Such a nice and simple image in both color and monochrome. The shades of green are lovely in the color version. I like the lines and curves - so delicate and elegant. Nicely done!   Posted: 10/20/2025 15:55:12
