Rizwan, what a great image. I think the idea of having the sun behind your daughters head is good, but at Tom suggests the intensity of the lighting takes away for the subjects face. I do wonder if the angle of the shot were a little different or the sun were lower on the horizon would allow for a better exposure on her face.

I agree with your black and white conversion. Very good.

I like back lit subjects especially your precious daughter. The image is well exposed for the background and then the next step is to add a little fill flash to illuminate her face and add a little catch light in her eyes. This addresses the concerns raised above. The beautiful composition is the trump card. I'd make your daughter the main intention and subject of this image. Very nice!!!   Posted: 07/20/2026 10:33:52
