About the Image(s)

I messed up by overwriting the original photo. It would have helped to understand the finished version. I took this photo at the Museum of The American Revolution. I was struck by the life size figures and their proximity to one another; it really drove home the reality of imminent death about to occur. There were many, many distractions: A stand with a plaque on it that stood between the two statues; a man who seemed oblivious to the fact that I was trying to take a photo and walked right up to one of the statues; benches and potted trees, etc.... I knew they all needed to go in order to convey as closely as possible what I felt when I stood in front of the statues. I'm not sure about the merit of the finished version, but it at least matches what I had in mind when I took it so I'm pleased with the result.
