About the Image(s)
A judge in a club competition talked about making rather than taking images. I was browsing through some images I took on a river cruise in Europe. I chose this very ordinary bridge to see if I could make an image out of it. I cropped it, played with the hue/saturation slider, added a border and came up with this that I quite liked. My wife said she would have it on a wall, praise indeed !!

Such a clean, crisp image. You did an excellent job post-processing. While I liked your pink version, now that I have seen David's black and white, I really like it.   Posted: 10/06/2025 01:04:08
Thanks both for your comments. When I was going through the Hue range in Photoshop it produced many interesting combinations. I also looked at the black and white image which I like but the pink one gave a little yellow in the diagonal cables which added a bit extra I thought.   Posted: 10/06/2025 15:16:00

Robert,
I really like the pink theme. It makes the image very distinctive, and likely to stand out. The monochrome version is nice, but the pink says "PICK ME". I can't imagine someone walking through a gallery where it was hanging, and not stopping to take a second look.
As you said, the crop turned an interesting documentary photo into something special.   Posted: 10/16/2025 01:34:39
