Decided to try something different. Cut the bird out of its background, build the
background with brushed and added leaves from my garden. A simple composite to enhance the
colours of the Eastern Rozella.

The process is quite simple Brad. All I've done is cut the bird out and removed part of the branch it's sitting on. Then I placed a texture of a concrete photo I took in the background and using different brushes to create the background colour. Mainly, I picked the colours of the bird, especially it's green/blue tones and just experimented until I was happy with the outcome. If I had to do this again following the same process I would achieve a similar but different background. I downloaded the free brushes that Adobe provides to subscribers and used those. Nadia, You have changed a simple nature shot Ito a piece of art. Your final image is truly beautiful and the addition of the golden leaves a stroke of genius. The only question I have is the constant one: Is the final output a creative image? It looks real and I have mo problem with that,, but it might need a bit more of a creative concept.

Nadia, Your background if texturized would throw this definitely map tje sea;, pf creative. My eyesight is hampered by Macular Degeneration, so I may not have been able to see it. I apologize if that is so. Great job, in any case. Posted: 07/16/2026 23:21:20
Joan, this image may to some, look real and therefore not considered to a creative one. The "real" elements in this are the bird on the branch and the added leaves. The background was created by me using brushes, selective colour toning and finished using textures of concrete images photographed by me.
