About the Image(s)

This idea is has come about from observing people who prefer to be on
their mobile phone rather than engage with others in their social circle. Once time is lost it can’t be
clawed back. I’ve chosen a beach scene to portray height of the pillars and the clock. Feedback is
welcomed.

Hi Nadia,
I have little to say technically, except that the back pillars you added seem too straight and from that perspective maybe off. The right back pillar might be to the right of the right front for example.
As to the theme, I don't see anything that would make me think of a cell phone or wasting time on a cell phone   Posted: 10/19/2025 15:25:31

Hi Tom, thanks for your feedback. The "back pillars" are not pillars but the frame that supports the front pillars. This was taken from a building which has the two pillars as its main entrance. It's not meant to make people think of a cell phone but of the many ways we waste time and then regret it. Maybe doing one with people sitting on their phone all the time even while walking is a good thought.   Posted: 10/22/2025 10:36:24

Nadia, You've created a striking image that could have many interpretations. I like your handling of the various elements and it comes together as a very cohesive image. I wonder if the grey trim behind the columns on the inside portion adds to the image or might be left out. Mostly I find it pleasing but there's something about how it meets the base that feels "unnatural". Maybe having it fade or transform into a waving curtain at the bottom would add movement and remove any distraction.   Posted: 10/19/2025 22:17:19

Hi Brad, the same comment that Tom made. The "grey trim" is the frame that supports the pillars. I left it there to support the clock. I did remove it but it looked strange. I'm not sure what you mean about the base, is that the base of the pillars on the sand? Can you please let me know what part to transform? That would be very helpful.
