About the Image(s)
When silver mining was worth the effort, pioneers found their way to rather remote parts of the Colorado high country. Building materials were plentiful!!! Cabins came with scenic views but, with winter, came something else. For this shot, I traveled to Parshall, Colorado to pursue my search for dilapidated, abandoned barns and agri-buildings. We just left summer in St Louis and you are submitting a snow shot? This is a really clean image. Good blacks and good whites. Good texture in the snow. The image tells a really good story! How did you find such a remote cabin?   Posted: 11/01/2026 19:05:47
I spent 3 days/nights hunting for these "wonders".
If one has four wheel capability, one can get to places rarely seen in winter

You are so lucky to get to explore remote areas like this Paul - so envious! And no foot prints!
Your chosen angle here really shows off its location and helps the comprehension of snow volume and remoteness well. Very good snow detail. Love it!   Posted: 11/02/2026 10:22:10
