This image was shot in an old cemetery in Terlingua Texas, near Big Bend National Park. It reflects the sense of deterioration that I observed in the area in general. The environment is so harsh that many human made structures seem to be in a state of constant decline. The Title, “Passages.” reflects the ongoing state from one physical state to another. And the cycles of sunrise to sunset and life to death mirror the process of constant change in other ways.

Kathy, The emotional tone of this image is striking. The composition guides the eye from the foreground crosses toward the setting sun - a visual metaphor for life passing into light. An evocative image that captures the quiet dignity of decay and remembrance. The warm sunset tones and thoughtful composition lead the viewer's eye naturally through the scene, blending emotion and atmosphere with technical precision.   Posted: 10/24/2025 04:57:13
