Traveling through Time

This was taken in the Badlands of South Dakota in September. I have included a black and white version, since that was something that came up in our last photo review. I'd be curious about which one works better, in your opinion. I like the color one. ISO 200, 100 mm, f 14, .3 sec exposure. I intend for the title to work on two levels. The viewer is traveling through time as he or she looks at the layers and striations. And the bison is also a traveler. But I hope that by having the bison be a very small part of the photo, it is not considered the subject. Thank you for your feedback.
