About the Image(s)
The attached image was taken in Norway’s Krossfjordes. It was taken with my order Sony AR-2 with a 70-220 mm lens. I processed it in LR with noise reduction done in Nic Define, I then converted to B&W in Silver Effects and sharpened in NIC output sharpener. I would like suggestions on how to make it pop more. To me, it looks a little flat.

Hi Susan, beautiful area must have been a great trip. As Peter has mentioned before, NIK Pro Contrast in Color EFEX is a great tool. I'd start there and then add some local adjustments for dodging and burning the areas you want to bring out. Adding contrast helps to separate the mountains, increasing the depth. Everyone's taste is different, but I played around with it a little bit and here's my version.   Posted: 10/06/2025 13:20:15
Hi Susan: When I first looked at your image it seemed a bit quiet or flat as you described it. Michael's version adds more contrast which gives it that pop needed. Your composition is good, and your image is straight and sharp I & believe it just needs more contrast.   Posted: 10/11/2025 01:20:32
Susan - a good capture of the fjord coastline, well composed with the area of snow roughly on the third.
As Michael and Ella have posted the contrast needs a boost as per Michaels version.   Posted: 10/14/2025 10:51:43

Hi Susan
I like the original with the softer tones I find it very gentle but also agree you can get a second superb landscape adding contrast.   Posted: 10/17/2025 15:42:51
