Ballerina by Ella Schreiber, QPSA, APSA

October 2025 - Ballerina

About the Image(s)

I just returned from the PSA Festival in Portland. While I have a ton of pix taken there, the last card in my camera is the one I selected and this is what it had as part of the contents. Something very different for a change.

Ella - a superb image in every respect - the shape and pose of the dancer, the lighting, sharpness and subsequent processing. It's a winner for me - all the way!   Posted: 10/14/2025 10:56:29

Hi Ella - What a beautiful low-key image of the ballerina! You have superbly captured the ballet lines that convey the fluidity, artistry and form. The soft side-light illuminating the ballerina is also really well-exposed. And the blurry tassels gives it a sense of motion.

It was so nice to meet you at the PSA festival. Hope to see you again next year! Best regards.   Posted: 10/17/2025 23:07:23

Hello Ella,

This shot is stunning, pure energy and elegance! The lighting really makes her pop against the dark background and the pose couldn't be more graceful.   Posted: 10/19/2025 22:01:33
