About the Image(s)

We recently visited NW Trek, a wildlife conservation park about an hour from Mount Rainier. It had been a while since we had been there and we were fortunate that it was a beautiful fall day. I was able to photograph this beautiful eagle, but of course, it was through wire fencing. Using my Nikon Z7ii, 24-200 at 180mm, ISO 64, f8.0, s 1/30 sec (which was probably too slow). Still, I was excited to capture the bird in this position with mouth open wide. I did some cropping and some minor adjustments in LR. Then increased the clarity in Topaz. Finally, I tried a couple of ways to remove the wire fencing. First, I tried using “remove reflections” (in LR). It worked well on one image, but not this one. Finally in LR I used a preset: Adaptive - Blur Background/ Bubble Swirl. It worked! Not the best image for a competition, but I was pleased nevertheless. The "Original" is not the exact original image, but basically the same as the one I used with same camera settings.
