About the Image(s)

Well, I made a decision to sell my very heavy Sony system (A9, 16-35/24-70 f2.8, 14mm, 200-600, 70-200 f4, kept A7S-20mm for Milky Way) and made a change to OM Systems. The biggest reason was the shear weight and size. I submitted several photos from our cruise last March and the IKE trip, carrying all that weight for those 5 days was enough. With a trip to see my daughter in Boston and the proposed 3 days walking the freedom trail and other locations, I decided to make the switch. The first step was an OM-5 and 12-45 f4 Pro for light weight travel and the first photo in Boston is shown. I am always fascinated by contrast of the various architecture of churches and other buildings.

Nice perspective. I hope you are enjoying your lighter equipment, and welcome to OM systems - I switched for the same reason. Of course, you add on bigger lenses, and it gets heavier. This shot is very sharp, and it gives you a sense of time, of the progress and changes in architecture. Well done!   Posted: 10/06/2025 21:38:22

The sharpness is excellent. There does not appear to be a vertical line. My brain won't fix the perspective problems.   Posted: 10/14/2025 17:09:21

This inmage is technically purfect: very sharp, good colors, etc. But to me it is two images in one frame and I find that rather bothersome. Of the two, I prefer the one on the right.   Posted: 10/14/2025 20:42:08

I always love contrasting architecture over time. This is a great example. I would crop, as per my nature. This eliminates the distracting colors and staining on the upper right.
Think you will love a lighter camera.   Posted: 10/23/2025 14:22:51

I like the contrast between the two building styles in this image. Though there a degree of distortion created by shooting upwards, I do not find it concerning, the perspective could have been corrected in post processing but that would involved distorting the image quite considerably .   Posted: 10/26/2025 09:17:44
