We just came back from a train trip in the Canadian Rockies. We made a loop starting in Vancouver, reaching Jasper and Banff, and back to Vancouver over Kamloops. In Lake Louise we stayed at the Fairmont Chateau, which is at the lake. So, I had just to wake up at 4:50 a.m., walk from my room to the lake shore, and set my tripod. This photo is a composite panorama of three bracketed (0, -2, +2) shots, for a total of nine photos. Beyond the stitching, I increased the warm tones a little through an orange filter in post-processing. Technical specifications: 14mm. lens, 1 sec. at f/16, ISO 64, tripod.

Hi Jose, what a gorgeous panorama! The clarity and the turquoise color of the water make extra special effects as stones at the bottom of the lake come visible through the reflection. They add another layer of depth into the image. I love the way the reflections and the mountains themselves lead one into the center of the image through the lake. Posted: 07/07/2026 18:48:12
Your technical capabilities are unsurpassed. Great picture with the turquoise colors in the lake. It is really that color, as I have been there. Like that we can see the stones under the water. Maybe add more saturation. Can you separate the mountains and the sky a little more? The rock on the far right seems to stand out as it is a unique color and fairly light. Posted: 07/14/2026 23:27:05
A great final view. The only element that sort of bothers me is usually reflections are darker, and these are quite a bit brighter. Perhaps due to the color of the lake, this is what happens? Posted: 07/17/2026 22:54:22
I checked the original shots and the reflections are also lighter there. I didn't use any filter, but maybe the HDR distorted them a little. The water is really turquoise. Posted: 07/19/2026 16:21:50
