Hi Arabella, you have transformed a lovely flower image to an attractive painting. I like the crop and the composition very much, with the crossing arches of the green blades among the blue petals and the tiny suns of the stamen. The lighting gives form to the flower a the dew droplets - I think that the droplets may lose something of that glow in the painting? I love the way the background turned out. Have you tried a darker version, too, like in the original?   Posted: 10/16/2025 04:09:23

I like that the techniques took a very contrasty image and turned into something more subtle and etherial. I like turning some images into paintings, and although Photoshop still has the painting brushes, several fun programs like Topaz had are no longer supported. There is one that I have that will probably stop working with the latest update to the MAC system, and that is Snap Art by Alien Seed. I tried it here as a mask on the background to add some heavy brush strokes. I also noticed that the dark area in the center of the flower was originally part of the background, so I cloned it back to the background. (It did not seem to fit on the flower otherwise.)   Posted: 10/16/2025 14:32:54

I'm not a big fan of altered photos. Therefore, although recognizing that you obtained a very pleasant result that looks like a paint, I prefer the more realistic original image. I like the latter, and would only suggest to make the leaf behind the petals a little softer.   Posted: 10/17/2025 03:05:36
