About the Image(s)
This is an image taken recently in the street and so I call it ”Street Musician”. I came across a Jazz band playing in the street one Sunday afternoon. The music was attractive and the band played well. So I stayed to listen. I captured the man playing the saxophone. The photo was post processed in PS and Silver Efex Pro. Initially I did not intend to have such granules but accepted it as nostalgic.

The tight cropping works for me. And I like the grainy effect as in the film days.   Posted: 10/08/2025 22:02:40
Hi Tony, I like the crop and the grain, too! There is such a nice mood. The only thing I might touch is the little box (loudspeaker?) and the dark lines close to the players head: I wonder if blurring or darkening the a bit might be a good idea?   Posted: 10/15/2025 19:27:11
You captured an interesting street scene, and B&W plus grain add to the appeal of the photo. I would try to crop from the bottom (up to a little below the saxophone) and the left (close to his elbow), since his legs don't add much to the message of the story. Also, get rid of some distracting elements like the box to the left of his head and the cables behind it.   Posted: 10/17/2025 03:09:09
