About the Image(s)

Attached is "Heart of Zion" taken in Zion National Park in 2015. It is a leaf floating in a puddle of water bathed in plant minerals with the reflection of the brilliant blue sky, red rock and trees. I captured it with a Canon 5D Mark III, Canon EOS 70-200mm lens, 0,5 sec, f/13, ISO 200.

My memory is lacking of all the editing I did as it was in the beginning years of using LR and PS. I do recall selecting the leaf in PS, creating a mask, inverting and blurring the background slightly along with gently nudging the color out of it. I have no idea what created the light fraction at the top. If you zoom in to the blue areas around the leaf, you can see a reflection of the trees and red rock above. A very happy find!!
