About the Image(s)

I selected this image to share, because they are all wearing a hat, they all have an instrument and they are all looking towards the player standing.
I did basic enhancement and eliminated the window on the left.

Very nicely done, Joe. It's a pleasure to move around the image with its many interesting visual points. The line of musicians, all looking at the bass player as you say, provides an effective diagonal line. I love the contrast of textures between the road and the wall, and in the absence of direct sunlight the exposure benefits from a soft box feel. I see you "plumbed" the window very well. Maybe a bit too much negative space in the upper left? Perhaps a small wall hanging composited from another image could balance that out -- a minor point. What if you cropped down to just a little above the bass?   Posted: 10/06/2025 16:08:51

Jerry, your points are well taken and I did consider them, but adding something could be distracting and cropping down was kind of unbalanced or similar to the bottom.   Posted: 10/06/2025 17:33:58

I like the composition and tonality of this. The solid light blue is a very neutral color for the band members who are sitting. The line leads to the bass player standing by the vertical window. Nice. Also thought your contrast and saturation is right on.   Posted: 10/13/2025 22:20:27

What a wonderful example of street photography. I only wish I could see the details - the faces and expressions of these musicians. Truly a story!   Posted: 10/17/2025 16:21:53
