I was in Islamorada visiting friends which had a beautiful garden when this Northern Parula Warbler chose to visit for a drink of water.
Image taken with a Nikon D800, Speed 1/40th of a sec, Focal Length 300mm, F/5.6, Lens was an Nikkor 28-300, ISO - 200.

A super shot landed on the statue's beak. Bird's eye is bright, and overall the image makes for a great capture. This is a great group for showing birds that I have never seen before! Posted: 10/09/2025 14:33:51

The warbler is a good find and beautifully captured. The other bird looked very odd before I realized it is a fountain of sorts. Perhaps a closer look at the warbler? Posted: 10/09/2025 21:53:29

Tom, the Warbler is telling a strong story around the fountain. The smaller birds are often overlooked. Nice capture. The catch-light is tack sharp. Posted: 10/10/2025 22:37:40

Tom, at first glance, I thought what a great shot to catch this warbler on the open beak of whatever bird this was. It was a few seconds before it registered with me and then I laughed. This is a great shot of the warbler sitting on the water fountain. Very sharp with a great catch light. Together, this image tells a great story. Very nice work Tom. Posted: 10/12/2025 20:29:17
