About the Image(s)
This bridge was the first to be made of cast iron & is celebrated as a symbol of the Industrial Revolution. The bridge and the surrounding area is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Taken on a very dull day at 1/100th, f5.6, ISO 200. Some minimal cropping and brightening of the colours. I intend to go back again on a bright winters day where the foliage won't be as prominent.

Charles, this is a lovely setting and we can easily see why it is a UNESCO site. I think you did a great job capturing this image. It is sharp and including the buildings gives us a sense of scale. You mentioned that it was a dull day but perhaps with a little cropping and working on the contrast and saturation, it can be improved. I used the Camera Raw filter and isolate in bridge and buildings first, next I
isolated the sky and made adjustments, finally I worked on the foliage adjusting color and levels.   Posted: 10/04/2025 22:05:05

You used the river very effectively as a leading line - to lead the viewer past the town and the greenery, and back to the cast iron bridge. If you saturate the reds, you might get a stronger color in the bridge. A bright winter day is a good idea for this setting.   Posted: 10/18/2025 10:44:01
Nice landscape. The buildings, its reflection and the iron bridge all interest. Yes, the river works as leading line. This location seems to be good during autumn colors. The present image needs more vibrance and saturation adjustments. Terry's adjustments look good.   Posted: 10/21/2025 14:43:24
