About the Image(s)
Taken with my Nikon D 5200 on Manual Mode, Lens 55-300; Focal Length 35mm, Speed 1/1000sec., F/6.3, ISO 800. These small but mighty movers are difficult to capture sitting still. Post processing Photoshop Basic adjustments, increasing the blur on the background, trying to sharpen feathers and removing hot spots bird and flowers. I did brighten the catch light in the eye as well as mute the green background a bit. Finally, I used ON1 to reduce noise. My questions are: Does the square crop help the composition? Did my attempts at sharpening work (not too much and not too little)?

Beautiful image … lovely colour tones and blurry background.   Posted: 10/07/2025 11:11:56
The square format has placed the subject on a third, which has helped the composition. Brightening the dark area behind the bird has also helped. Nice shot.   Posted: 10/13/2025 20:08:40
Good composition of bird and flowers. Good editing of background. Now that you have removed the hot spots on the bird, I suggest highlighting the bird, to make it stand out as well as the flowers.   Posted: 10/18/2025 10:50:18
Nice composition and beautiful bird. Square crop helped in composition. The full bird is not in good focus. Why not using selective Topaz sharpen AI tool? I think that will work better. Your other post processing is very nice.   Posted: 10/21/2025 15:00:59
